Case Study One

Pigeon Infestation

A pigeon infestation in a plant room atop a four storey building, adjacent to an extremely busy main road had not been properly understood or addressed leading to seriously degraded timbers and the threat of part of the roof collapsing.

The fundamental problem, an undiagnosed design flaw, had allowed the birds to persistently enter over a long period.

The solution delivered by us involved liaising with the leaseholder, freehold owner, Local Council (parking and collections) and the physical
challenges of dealing with the pigeons, the removal of heir waste (requiring specific handling) and the movement of material from, and to, the plant room through a live working environment.

A problem that beleaguered the business for more than 18 months was assessed, diagnosed and fixed all in under 5 working days!

Case Study Two

Car Park Bollards

The bollards in a carpark were being repeatedly damaged and the cost of repairs was showing as an unhealthy ‘exception’ in the accounts. Responding to the invite to ‘throw us a challenge’ we installed a form of bollard utilising cats eye technology.

Having previously replaced 8 bollards in 12 months, since the replacements were fitted there have been no further incidents of damage to bollards or vehicles.

Car Park Flooding

A car park at a local prestigious office building was repeatedly flooding with foul water due to blocked drainage. The company was spending
£15,000 per annum with rodding and jetting companies to remediate the symptom without being able to establish the cause.

Aside from the cost, it was causing chaos for staff and visitors alike and was affecting the use of both the carpark and the toilets.

Pebble diagnosed the root cause of the flooding and with £6,000 worth of work the problem was solved permanently.
